What ParkPing is

ParkPing lets a car owner be contacted anonymously by anyone who scans their windshield QR code. The owner gets a notification and can reply through an ephemeral chat.

Acceptable use

Messages sent by scanning must be relevant to the car's situation. Harassment, threats, spam, offensive messages and any illegal use are prohibited.

Free-text messages may be reviewed before delivery. We reserve the right to reject messages that violate these terms and to suspend abusive accounts.

Not an emergency service

ParkPing is NOT an emergency service. In situations requiring immediate intervention (accident, danger, a crime), contact the competent authorities (112 / your local emergency number). We don't guarantee the owner sees or replies to a message.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. The free plan allows a single active car; higher plans allow more.

Service provided “as is”

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, notification delivery, or that a printed code stays scannable in all conditions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ParkPing is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll mark the last-updated date. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept them.
